Environmentally Conscious Manufacturing

Where: Innovation Park (Innovation Boardroom)
When: 10 June 2010, 4:00pm-6:00pm

Do environmental regulations such as REACH, CEPA and CCMP apply to my business?

Do I need to care about the recycling of my products?

What is now considered hazardous materials?

As environmental concerns impact businesses in greater ways, manufacturing executives need to understand how to navigate the complex world of environmental regulations while profitably competing in today's global economy. Consumers increasingly want businesses to be environmentally responsible in the manufacture and supply of products and services. Our keynote speaker, Walter Jager, President of ECD Technology, will give an overview about emerging environmental regulations and standards.

Walter Jager has consulted extensively in the development of environmental compliance solutions for product manufacturers and suppliers in the electronics, consumer products, and chemical industries.  He has contributed to the development of several international IEC standards and chairs the Canadian Committee for International Environmental Standards for Electronic Products and Systems.  With 25 years experience, he has held positions in environmental compliance, quality and reliability engineering, supply chain management, and product design.
