7 November 2008 Meeting
The 2008 season kick-off event was very interesting from the perspective of project and venture funding. It featured from Randy North of the Ontario Centers of Excellence (OCE) and Jason Hendry of PARTEQ. Randy outlined the multiple connection points available on collaborative programs and the Investment Accelerator Fund. Following the OCE discussions, Jason provided an update on the expanding programs at PARTEQ, including the PoP program that helps get initial feasibility results in play. These are very pragmatic opportunities that are well oriented toward solid industry/academic collaborations – value for everyone in the local network.
